"Delaware police and Secret Service agents would go on to investigate, after the pistol was discovered by a man rummaging through the bin for recyclable items."
Any Democrats on here want to explain why the Secret Service was involved? Is Hunter under 16? Those agents and the people that sent them should be fired for abuse of power - they had no right to be involved.

I suspect one reason would be the standard reason. For all parties involved.
To send the gun to the formidable FBI forensic lab in Quantico, VA to determine if it was "hot" or used in any ongoing investigation that could lead to the arrest of a suspected criminal.
That's how it usually works, dummy. Amazing, isn't?

This is where the "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" morons are suddenly ok with gun laws.

It will be funny when a jury lets Hunter off.

"It will be funny when a jury lets Hunter off."
And they will. This is just a legal show trial, acting as exorcists, so to speak, to remove Hunter Biden from the plots of quirky conspiracy theorists.

This is also where the "STRICT GUN CONTROL" crowd are suddenly okay with a drug addict buying a gun.

NICS is okay with a drug addict buying a gun.
Is NICS strict gun control?
#7 | Posted by snoofy at 2023-09-20 10:22 AM | Reply
If NICS was okay with it, he wouldn't be going to trial.
#8 | Posted by sitzkrieg at 2023-09-20 10:35 AM | Reply
NCIS allowed it to happen.
#9 | Posted by snoofy at 2023-09-20 10:37 AM | Reply
NICS allowed the charges to be filed.

You're really wedded to pre-crime. It's not real.

Lets make it simple:
A crack abuser illegally buys a firearm, lies on NICS form, committing a felony.
Should they be charged? Yes or no?
I believe the Government does a ---- job and there should be tens of thousands of prosecutions.

Not at all. Lock him up. But also lock up everyone else that gets caught doing the exact same thing.
Also lock up teenagers that have their mom buy a gun to transport across state lines and is used to kill people.

No. No one should be charged with this. It's a ridiculous law and a 5th amendment violation, there should be zero persecutions from it.

Not to worry. The facts surrounding the case make it a minor infraction, since the gun was never used in the commission of any crime.
He'll be found guilty and receive a stiff fine. Now the Republicans can blame the jury, which will be pretty weak sauce.

I'm a believer in gun control. NICS is not gun control. As clearly demonstrated by this case.

NICS is gun control, created by the Brady Act.
"Yes, the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) is a form of gun control in the United States. Established by the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act of 1993."
Swallow it lol.

I also believe the government kind of sucks at gun control, but in this case this is not their fault, only children and the unhinged believe the government is psychic.

The hypocrisy over right wingers cheering about the gun charges against Hunter Biden is overwhelming. First time in their lives they have ever wanted anyone prosecuted for firearms possession.
I, on the other hand, applaud the charges and hope it starts a trend of actually charging people who possess any firearms outside the specific letter of the law.

It will be funnier when the judge dismisses the case before it can even go to trial, due to prosecutorial misconduct, and Hunter wins his lawsuit against the IRS employees who violated his rights as a private citizen.
Just hoping some more MAGA fascists get dragged for stealing his private property, colluding with Russian spies and wasting our tax dollars in Congressional kangaroo court.

Irony.
These cases NEVER get prosecuted unless the drugs and gun are found during an arrest.
And they are NEVER prosecuted on their own. They are always part of a bigger set of criminal charges related to the guns and drugs.
Hunter Biden is being made an exception to the charging policy and practices.

Was he high on crack cocaine when he entered his plea? Because I specifically remember him saying in his memoir that he was high on crack cocaine when he bought the gun.

You didn't read his memoir. Further, if his memoir is admissible in court, you're going to love it when Adderall Donny gets convicted on all 91 (and counting) counts due to his public statements over the last few months. I'm sure that won't reduce the amount of whining and handwringing you'll do about the burden of proof and how he doesn't mean what he says and it's all an act blah blah blah.
You fascists don't seem to mind Don Jr. shooting leopards when he's coked out of his mind, why the sudden change of heart?
