The police repeatedly asked the band director to stop playing.

Who here thinks that was a lawful order?

"It might be if the police are tasked with clearing the building."

Sure seems like if that were the case, the order would be to leave, not to stop playing.

"They were trying to clear the area due to the end score and possibility of that some might behave badly."

The police then fulfilled their own prophecy and behaved badly.

"I urge everyone not to jump to conclusions."

Meanwhile, the police jumped to the conclusion that a crime was taking place.

"They asked BOTH band directors to stop playing, encouraging everyone to leave."

Encouraging everyone to leave is not the same as ordering everyone to leave.

"Were they expecting a riot?"

Were Negroes present? Then yes.

"We've had one highschool game stopped due to fights in the stands between the highschools and another stopped due to gang activity on the grounds between the schools."

This game stopped when the clock ran out.

Let me ask you this: Do the police control the stadium? So the police say when the stadium is open or closed? What business do they have telling anyone what to do on public property?

I tend to take people at face value when they say the cops are thugs. Meanwhile, Deplorables want the cops to act like thugs. Not sure what you're doing.

So your "let's not rush to conclusions" approach seemed to ignore every act of police brutality from Rodney King through today.

Like you haven't yet noticed a pattern of police behavior.

That did not sit well with me.
