Texas also led the nation in white supremacist propaganda last year; had the most residents charged in relation to the Jan. 6, 2021 insurrection; and, in March, saw a neo-Nazi and extreme misogynist gunman kill 8 people at an Allen shopping mall.

Therapists say hate is what results from unrelieved fear, and goodness knows, fear is in the lives of many people. Personal fear, and that includes shame, are what cutthroat capitalism is all about, pitting us all against each other.

Let both of those ---- hole states secede. Pull all federal funding, and military and its assets. Build a wall around both borders of those states to keep the fascistic riff raff out and make them pay for said walls.

I'm in favor of letting the entire Gulf Coast secede. I know it caused the Civil War last time. This time I think we can just let it go. ..minus the slavery, of course.

This is Texas. Republican Texas just let their AG off after he committed numerous crimes and the evidence was clear. Why? Because he is Republican.

Hatred flourishes in red rural America. Goes hand in hand with the ignorance.

I'm speaking of the slavery that has a chance of reviving if the south secedes again. But I'm sure in your walnut sized mind, slavery NEVER existed.
Although, in many ways, slavery does still exist in the US today. It's just more subtle.

Texas is awesome. My wife is from Texas but I'm from Louisiana - so I get dual citizenship. Texas is much better. Cost of living is great, just got a nice break on the property taxes from Abbott and the state has plenty recreation. And no income tax.

"slavery that has a chance of reviving" .. drive past a home depot in TX and you will see cheap labor. IMO cheap immigrant labor is modern slavery.

You really like it there? Easily impressed I guess.
Now imagine how much happier you could be in a state that actually cared about you?
Texas is among the worst states in the country for workers, according to new research from a national nonprofit.
The Lone Star State ranked 48th on the "Best States to Work Index" from Oxfam America, a nonprofit focused on ending poverty.

LaVar Burton theorizes that Republicans continued reluctance to raise the minimum wage goes all the way back to when slavery gave them access to cheap or free labor. They miss those days. You know ... . Wait for it ... .

When it comes to state and local government, Texas wins every time. I do my hunting and fishing in Louisiana because they win on that every time.
