When Taylor Swift speaks, her fans listen. On Tuesday morning, the singer posted a short message on Instagram encouraging her 272 million followers to register to vote. Afterward, the website she directed her fans to -- the nonpartisan nonprofit Vote.org -- recorded more than 35,000 registrations, according to the organization.

This is why republicans are rallying to raise the voting age to 25.

"Election Interference!"

~ Republicans, probably.

They want the voting age to be 25, and the age of consent to be 12.

While I'm not a fan of Ms Swift (quite the contrary, I really don't care), I do want to note that her comment about registering to vote seemed to be non-partisan, according to the various reporting I've seen.

Presuming they follow through and actually vote, instead of just registering...

Yap.

They want 35 year old men to marry 12 year olds so they can protect them from all of the pedophiles.

"While I'm not a fan of Ms Swift (quite the contrary, I really don't care), "

You probably should care. At least a little.

Taylor Swift is a force of nature.

A tornado is a force of nature. I am not particularly fond of tornadoes but I do respect the energy they release. And I imagine I could become fond of Taylor very ... . Swiftly.

She's Madonna, 30 years ago. Except a bit less sensational.

She speaks to women. Probably more than any man on the planet, other than their daddy.

Question? Is it true nothing (dumber or smarter - you pick the most effective best answer) than a Swiftie fan. Perhaps we already know the correct answer for most. That they are groupies and group thinkers and need some Hollywood entertainer to motivate them should tell us all we need to know.

Democrat elites are very shrewd and always take advantage of dumb and lazy. They prefer a lazy dumbed down constituency. That is why they like unmotivated voters who need to be handed a pre filled out voting form in a stamped self addressed envelope. If they had to actually go to polls and think and figure the process out they'd not bother voting. That is why just simply making it easy to vote and encouraging voting doesn't make a better country. It gives you a Joe Biden run country with open borders. We need motivated young voters that understand, not lazy voters.

I love the poorly educated. That statement came from the fat mouth of Donald trump.

So that's how you do it?

You take a criticism of Republicans, copy and paste. Then just change the word Republican to Democrat.

Does your boss know they pay you for such laziness?

Anyone wanna bet Robson doesn't even look at the names when he fills his out?

My only boss is essentially my wife and she is smarter and more in favor of an intellectual electorate of critical independent thinkers than am I. She fully understands how Dem elites are more likely to scheme and subvert for power using all means necessary, including making it easy for every rock and dead person to vote, instead of striving for good ethical elections and policy that benefits all of society.

Pretty sure Robson is a parody of a Republican poster.

He could also just be really dumb.

Ms. Swift is America's sweetheart. Not a fan of her music but she's smart, has good intentions and she's as cute as a button.

Asking sincerely? Why do you think it is that young people mostly but not always Democrats are so mega infatuated and enamored with celebrity? This is not new. Do they think that the stroke of luck and having an ability mostly to entertain these same young people gives them an abundance of life wisdom? BTW I know know lots of young people too who could care less about spending their future security on expensive tickets to see a singer that just might be lip syncing. Although in the end to each his own and their business.

Rigger please! You and Matt Gaetz both don't "know" any young people. I am pretty sure they stay as far from you as they can.

And you should probably stop syncing your lips to Trumpy's butt.

The future security of all of us depends on it.

Republicans love celebrities.

The problem republicans have with celebrities is that they're not republican.

Not a Swiftie by any means, but I'm with #22 above. So far, she appears VERY careful and astute about where and when she speaks out and the subjects about which she offers comments. Good on her.
