Older Adults Are The Fastest Growing Homeless Population Hmmm ... I will think on this further to devise a modest, yet intensely flavorful, proposal.

All in all, this shows you just how much value has been robbed out of money. Flooding the economy with printed bills out of thin air has resulted in the value dropping. In other words you are being robbed. No one is responsible for this more than the Federal Reserve Board.

This is incorrect, the only reason for the "bills out of thin air" was to fund the government.
$33T in debt, whats the interest cost per year? More than defense spending. You are being robbed by previous years of spending.

... Many baby boomers across the country are now coming to terms with the hard reality that working for your entire adult life is no longer enough to guarantee you'll have a roof over your head in your later years. So... how do we handle these people who have built the vigorous economy we now enjoy?
Are they now destined to live under a bridge?

Deflation crushes debt-as-income holders the hardest.
And that's why we will see Zimbabwe style hyperinflation before we see deflation.
Because deflation hurts the rich far more than hyperinflation.

" He didn't out do Obama. "
Based on what Republican Math?
How about this: Compare the economy Obama was handed, verses the one he handed off to Trump.
Then compare that, versus the one Trump handed off to Biden.
If you're honest, you'd have to admit Democrats are better for the economy than Republicans. Frankly, it's not even close.

Are you nuts?
Both added about $8 trillion.
Obama did it over 8 years with the Great Recession and with the Bush tax cuts.
Trump did it in ONLY 4 years with the Trump tax cuts. Trump grew the national debt $4.2 trillion in ONE YEAR.

Someone had to pay for all the free money given away during COVID. I'm sure all the Democrats voted against that, right.
Just stop pretending one side is better than the other.
You sound as pitiful as Rine arguing that Trump caused a 15% unemployment rate.

"2007-2008 financial crisis
Global financial firms Lehman Brothers and Bear Stearns went on to collapse, due in large part to their involvement in subprime lending. U.S. housing prices fell sharply, and millions of homeowners owed more on their mortgage loans than the amount their homes were worth."
"In 2008, the federal government created the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), a $700 billion government bailout designed to keep troubled banks and other companies in operation. Through the TARP, around $245 billion in taxpayer money was used to stabilize more than 700 banks."
Who was President in 2008?

The affordable care act helped people with preexisting conditions.
But overall was a gift to the insurance industry.

What happens to the working class if the banks fail? Where do their paychecks come from? How do they survive while the global financial system rebuilds itself, or do you think the government has a replacement for banking and financial services just teed up and ready to go?
This is a perfect example of you being so incredibly stupid, you don't even realize you're stupid.

I am sure that killing social security and medicare will fix this. Just ask the millionaires in the GOP that have their government funded cadillac health insurance plan.

Yes it was. We are the only advanced nation that cannot have universal health care because the billionaires that own Congress would lose too much.
Even a medicare style option would expose how much waste goes to the top in our current illness industry. And if the top lose some of their billions, how are they going to afford to pay congress their bribes?
A good start was Obamacare. A better advance was allowing medicare negotiate drug prices.

I graduated from a WI university with a shiny new MBA in HR and Operations Research in 1975. In recent months, gasoline had flared up to nearly 60 cents per gallon. It was a poorly performing economy for many people. Rentiers are presently sucking all of the spare change from the economy. There is a surplus of rental properties with generally rising rents, and a double-wide with no utilities in the Ozarks could cost you three grand a month, but no one will rent it. People working from home no longer need their office space downtown, and there's not many offers to sublet.

Trump grew the national debt $4.2 trillion in ONE YEAR.
Throwing $800,000,000,000 of tax free money at "businesses" with no controls into whether they were legitimate businesses or had employees or were even in existence was the most dotarded thing he ever did.
"Business" owners lined up with their hands out to buy boats, sports cars, vacation homes with the funds that were supposed to pay payrolls of employees who could not work during COVID but had no oversight.

Yes, let's ask Iceland.
It obliterated their economy. Their currency lost 1/3 of its value. Their government debt went from 28% of GDP to 130%. Unemployment tripled. Assets in their pension fund (like Social Security) dropped 20%.
Because Iceland was small, it could rely on foreign loans. Because it has a huge welfare program, it could take care of its citizens. And Iceland guaranteed citizens' accounts while the banks failed.
It took almost 3 years to even begin reverse the damage and only was able to do so because of major socialist policies.
And by the way, Iceland didn't let the banks fail completely. It took them over. We can't do that here because Republicans scream Socialism.
So yes, let's look at Iceland.

"Unemployment tripled."
I saw that too.
Unemployment went from 2400 to 7200.
It's quite a stretch to compare that economy to the US economy. Where unemployment hit 10,100,000 due to COVID.
Plus, Iceland has social services that simply do not exist in America. They are better equipped for triple unemployed than the United States has even been.
