This lady gets to market a product that exposes advertisers to antisemitic screeds put forth by a train load of kooks, bigots, MAGA-hat fools and their ilk. She either knows less about effective marketing than she thinks, wants to actually market the thoughts and words of the creeps found on X, or is being paid so much that she finds it worth the loss of her soul and professional reputation to stay in her job. A sad state of affairs. The best thing for her now would be for TWTR to go bankrupt and her job eliminated by those who then take control...

You don't get a job like this for Musk without an oath of fealty.

and buying a lot of stock from Musk. Gotta turn that ship around.

At this point advertising on twitter now becomes an approval of Musk's antisemitic comments. Even a company where the CEO is a Nazi knows it can't be good for the company to stick with twitless.

That, imo, seems to be quite the appropriate summary of the current situation at X.

Did she sell her soul for the money?

My view...

She has a good (some may say, excellent) marketing background, so she did not go into this venture unaware?

So now the question seems to be becoming... did Mr Musk promise her things (e.g., removal of hateful comments) that he does not want to deliver upon?

And now she is just trying to examine her options to be employed elsewhere?

imo, stated differently, is Ms Yaccarino willing to destroy her great career to this point in order to be a member of the cult of Musk?

Elon Musk's X sues Media Matters for America
www.axios.com

... Elon Musk's X Corp. sued Media Matters for America for defamation on Monday after the left-leaning nonprofit released a report on ads on X running next to pro-Nazi content and helped trigger an advertiser exodus.

Driving the news: The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas Fort Worth Division, alleged the organization's tactics were manipulative and deceptive.

- - - X alleged that Media Matters "exploited" the platform have ads appear this way, which included "excessive scrolling" and curating its feed with "fringe" content.

- - - "The overall effect on advertisers and users was to create the false, misleading perception that these types of pairings were common, widespread, and alarming," the lawsuit reads.

What they're saying: X CEO Linda Yaccarino, who has received messages from marketing leaders pushing for her to resign, defended the company in a statement on Monday.

- - - "If you know me, you know I'm committed to truth and fairness," she posted. ...

Not her fault X is current owned ( the way it's going broke, it'll be on eBay soon) by a fascist lunatic.
Maybe she can ban Elon and let him focus on losing money on Tesla and blowing up rockets.

In my view, yeah, she should have known that going into that position.

I mean, really, she seemed to be an experienced marketing executive.

@#15

thx for the follow-up.

Yeah, it was a good joke.

And one that I think may not be too far from the truth. (can you say, "heart of the matter"? I knew you could)

thx.

And now, she seems to be trying to preserve her career because she realizes the error in her choice.

But she is a marketing person, so anything she projects is likely more for image than substance.
