A court-ordered financial auditor has caught Donald Trump quietly moving $40 million from the Trump Organization into a personal bank account -- seemingly so the former president could pay his whopping $29 million tax bill.

Oh s*** if he willfully went around a judge's orders that is a crime all by itself.

If I remember rightly, receivership is still under appeal. If that's the case, he's limited to how much he can get without notifying the one in control of the receivership. I do note that apparently Trump is paying some of his lawyers. Kinda tells me he's scared and doesn't want his legal representation to run off like the better ones that won't work for him anymore over a lack of being paid. If this receivership goes south on Trump, this might be the last time he can do this. I'd be willing to say there will likely be an attempt to drain more money from his estates and businesses just before it leaves his access to money there.

I don't know, but if it is, it probably isn't criminal fraud until he actually pays the taxes

Which, considering the alternatives, isn't all that bad.

Healing from Tim Payne, contributors to pay the government tax revenue?

It's not the worst thing he could do

Under this temporary Receivership/Monitor Agreement, Trump is not allowed to move any significant amount of money around without permission from the court.

So yeah, if Trump sneaked around a court order, he in violation. The reason doesn't matter.

But then, it's just typical Trump, who is notorious for his distain of authority, trying to pull a fast one.

The deed has already been done, and it wasn't all for paying $29 million in taxes. He also needed money to replenish the escrow account set up for attorney fees plus a few other necessities. It does not appear that the deed can be-un-done.

But the result now is an "enhanced" supervision of Trump Org accounts ~~ whatever that means. However, I don't think there's enough supervision in the world to prevent Trump from doing it again. It's not that he's so smart. It's that he just has a lot of experience slithering through cracks.

They should just say 'Nobody is above the law' and DO IT already...

It eats at Trump that someone is monitoring his finances. And that he has to pay the correct taxes now.

Remember when he bragged in a 2016 debate that he didn't pay taxes - for years - because "I'm smart?"
