"They brought seven bottles of vodka and some snacks: fish, sausage, bread, cheese. They told the guards that they wanted to thank our guys for everything, for protecting them. The guys took the vodka and food, drank with their colleagues and ate.

This seems to be something of a common tactic. I heard it happened in Melitpol at the start of the invasion.

Desperately short on morale and starving, you can see why it would be appealing to the resistance. Although I would expect the Russians to mete out punishment to anyone they thought might be involved.
