NFL Commish Reportedly Wants to Ban the Tush Push'

Seems homophobic, if you ask me.

How about defenses find a way to stop it?

@#1 ... Seems homophobic, if you ask me. ...

The NFL? Homophobic?

Really?

I mean, athletic dudes dressed in tight stretch-fitting clothing, prancing around touching and pushing each others' butts?

Homophobic?

Tush push is what Lavrov and Putin did to dotard in Helsinki.

What about "TheLoveShove"?

Should rightfully be called the Ender Wiggin. Too esoteric?

Just call it what it is in Philly... Booty Ball.

Good. Seems decidedly unsportsmanlike anyhow. If the back or qb can't get
in on his own efforts, then he can't get in...

But it's still OK for the cheerleaders to do 'The French Mistake' on the sidelines, right?

Throw out your hands
Stick out your tush
Hands on your hips
Give 'em a push
You'll be surprised
You're doing the French Mistake
Voila!
-"The French Mistake" Mel Brooks, et alia, 'Blazing Saddles'

Just take the pads off and play rugby.

Silly. It is a valid play using blockers in the front and pushers from behind. A great coordinated thrust forward. The goal is to gain short yardage. I see nothing objectionable about it. We see running backs getting pushed forward by their own teammates all the time from behind. This is no different.

must be from Philly Moder8...

only people from Philly think it is a valid way to score a TD...

(besides, given time, it will lead to more linemen getting injured--esp. on the defense)

What is possibly invalid about it? I honestly do not see what the objection is.

"I honestly do not see what the objection is."

Wrong team is winning.

I wish they'd bring back stickum.

I hope to see linebackers picking up smaller players to block a field goal in the future. Never understood why they did not do the rugby lift.

It's been done. Defensive players jumping on the backs of their team-mates. That was outlawed.

That's the issue with this play, the way a defense would counter this have been made illegal for safety reasons.

If the defense can't counter the play it shouldn't be legal. What makes me question this to mods point, is why aren't other teams seemingly able to duplicate this?

Are piggyback rides OK? So a rider can jump off after 30 yards or so to run the rest of the way to the end zone.
