Tuberville told reporters that he has lifted his hold on all military promotions three-star and below, amounting to over 400 promotions.

"I'm releasing everybody. I still got a hold on I think 11 four-star generals. Everybody else is completely released from me." Tuberville told reporters. "But other than that, it's over." ...

He thinks he has a hold on 11 four-star generals???

So what he did was needlessly subject our military officers to unnecessary stress and workload to basically have his bluff called, back down and got nothing.

This sums up the GQP perfectly. Nothing but drama queen terrorists that fold and accomplish nothing.

The first 11 orders of business after Tuberville gives in, should be the drudgery of going through all 11 nominees for approval.

Tuberville wanted a soap box stage. What it did to anyone in the military wasn't his worry. The only reason he's relinquishing on it, is because they are ready to side step him and he has no way to stop that. Rather than look like the idiot he is, he's trying to save face.

Hours later, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., took to the Senate floor to confirm all 425 of those nominees unanimously, saying members of the military and their families "can breathe a sigh of relief."

He then took aim at Tuberville for his 10-month hold, saying it risked national security while putting military families through a "pointless and gravely damaging ordeal." ...

It was a stupid and unnecessary stunt to begin with.

But he's just a typical Republican these days. They don't support democracy or the rule of law. Only chaos.

Word has it that more than one fascist organization was paying him for his behavior.

See? No chaos involved. As Michael Corleone said: "Strictly business".

It's amazing how Republicans have gone from US military hawks and supporters to US military detractors and haters. It getting too close to elections now and so tubby has to stop trashing the military pretty soon or republicans will lose their vote as the military has always tended to vote Republican.
