In a keynote speech to a gathering of Christian nationalist lawmakers Tuesday night, House Speaker Mike Johnson compared himself to Moses, leading the GOP conference -- and America -- through the parted waters of the Red Sea.

Matthew 7:21-23
New King James Version

I Never Knew You

21 "Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'

23 And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

Mikey is practicing obstruction of justice at the moment; blotting out evidence of rioting.

Oh, FFS. Stop, just stop with the narcissistic self-aggrandizement and spiritual hubris.

I'm fine with people comparing themselves to Moses as a joke. But Republicans don't joke when they think they're like biblical figures and the weird thing is they never seem to notice how like King Saul so many are.

Uh, hold on there false prophet--Moses was shown the Promised Land by God, but not allowed to enter it, because Moses broke faith with God.

Hey, Mikey, try this one on for size. It's a classic:

Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples: "The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.

"Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries[a] wide and the tassels on their garments long; they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called Rabbi' by others.

"But you are not to be called Rabbi,' for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. The greatest among you will be your servant. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
--Matthew 23: 1-12

I am impressed with a man who want to tell a room about the voices in his head.

(Shudders)...and then yesterday he was talking about how there
'wasn't enough religion in Public Schools'...

this man NEEDS to be removed if this country wants to
have any intellectual promise at all. The damage he
will do to Public Schools will be unfathomable if he
is allowed to carry out his Christian Nationalist Plan...

I always find it interesting to see that non Christians seem to know and understand Christianity better than self professed Christians do.

Last night, the Lord told me that he told Mike Johnson those things as a joke and that Moses was actually George Santos.
