Trump Defends Empty Classified Folders Found At Mar-A-Lago As 'Cool Keepsake'
www.forbes.com

... Former President Donald Trump offered a new explanation Wednesday for why the Justice Department found dozens of empty folders for classified documents at his Mar-A-Lago home in August, claiming he kept them as souvenirs, as the ex-president tries to downplay the extent of the sensitive White House records discovered at his Florida estate -- and as a similar investigation is launched into President Joe Biden. ...

Meanwhile, Jo Biden steals classified documents and puts them in his garage and campus office, but hes not deemed cognizant enough to stand trial.

Re 7

And his lawyers? Are they suddenly all deemed "not cognizant enough" to defend him if he have been charged with a crime??

Apparently Lefthandturds is not cognizant enough to know the difference between the lack of any criminal intent by Biden and Trumpy's obviously gross negligence with reckless criminal intent.

I'm glad you believe there's a problem.

Tell us: do you see a difference between a) returning them upon discovery, and b) lying about their possession, refusing to return them, returning some of them while swearing you'd returned them all, and enlisting others to hide the evidence?

ANY difference?

" do you see a difference between a) returning them upon discovery"

Upon discovery? Some of those documents dated to his time in the Senate. How did they come to be in his possession and scattered around in various locations? Magic?

They discovered the docs in 2017.

Why lie about everything?

The best you have that was in 2017, he and his ghostwriter viewed documents he possessed that may have been classified. The Report says Biden may not have known some of the documents were classified. And in 2017, he turned over classified documents that he found and were marked classified after finding them.

Did you just ignore that he turned over classified documents that he came across?

WHY DO YOU LIE ABOUT EVERYTHING?

#9 Debating the obvious differences with rightwingers here is a fool's errand.

You could ask them "should both Trump and Biden go to federal prison for stealing documents" and most of them would probably disappear or say no. They will never, ever admit that Trump has ever done anything wrong despite his being a literal crime factory. So just forget it!

"WTF are you talking bout?"

Lying about possession, enlisting others to help obstruct, lying on a court document swearing you've given everything back ... shall I go on?

Or, more to the point: why are you ignoring these screamingly obvious differences?!? Gaslighting, or stupidity?

Biden took them from the SCIF.

I don't care who you are, you take it from the SCIF you need some jail time.

"I don't care who you are, you take it from the SCIF you need some jail time."

If you're an elected official or a political appointee, you don't follow the same rules regarding access to classified materials.

The dude who reads a political appointee into SCI or SAP might lose his or her job-and their-clearance-if they didn't mention a foreign contact or didn't properly store classified material.

The dude being read-in could snort coke off the bare ass of a Russian hooker inside the SCIF, and it is what it is.

I think it takes a 2/3rds vote in congress to expel a person who is accused of revealing classified information, which is not covered under a confidentiality agreement like most people with a clearance, but rather under congressional ethics codes.

It's crazy that so many people do so much to protect classified information, when any clown appointed or elected to a senior position will get access without any additional consideration.
