Trump is guilty.

That's why he keeps doing his best to delay the trial until after November.

Not sure what republicans got planned.

But this election is Trump's only hope to avoid having to flee to Russia.

... Oral arguments on the matter have been set for Oct. 4. ...

In my opinion, DA Willis blew it big time.

Her indiscretion in this matter was not appropriate during an ongoing case.

She violated my "appearance of impropriety" benchmark.

(aside: as have Justice Alito and Justice Thomas, but they didn't just violate it, they blew it out of the friggin water.)

No one could have predicted what 3 Republicans on the Appeals Court would do.....

"She violated my "appearance of impropriety" benchmark."

With the current Supreme Court of the United States there are no longer asunrrection but he is not recusing himself. It is sad but funny today when Republicans talk about Judicial ethics.

I agree she blew it but because she knew better. The Appearance of Impropriety I personally say "meh" but I get why it is there. It's not like she was sleeping with Trump's lawyer. She was with someone "on her team". This really has zero affect on the case IMHO. What was he going to do? Try harder to win the case because they were sleeping together? Seriously.

The only problem becomes he was a "contractor" and even that is plenty of grey in this case. What's the Defense's argument? They wouldn't have found someone competent if she wasn't sleeping with them?

Good job Fani-how's yer love life going? Thanks for handing the Oval back to one of the most dangerous individuals in US politics today, and quite possibly in US history.

Why does it matter who the prosecutor is, and who she's having sex with?

And even if that does matter, why can't she immediately be subbed out for someone else so the trial can go forward?

It does matter. My understanding is that this now makes the entire law firm suspect and the only way to quickly sub out would be to pass this to a different law firm, which would essentially be starting over. So the best chance to get this to trial before the election is to ride the horse they have.

Makes them suspect how? Suspected of sexual activity? What does that have to do with whether Trump tried to steal an election?
