Russian President Vladimir Putin has landed in North Korea for a rare visit and was greeted by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The country's state media reported that they "exchanged their pent-up innermost thoughts." Putin needs North Korean to continue to provide munitions for the war in Ukraine.

Well Russia did, unprovoked, invade Ukraine so they should be ostracized so it's kind of fitting that NK is so welcoming. Depleting North Korea's weapons works. Russians on the front hate them. The shells are inaccurate and tend to blow up in the artillery...

Ukrainians defending their country from an invader who invsded without any provocation except to steal territory that Russia promised in treaties to never invade so your claim that "Putin is allowed to have allies Too." is bulls**t! kraine has every right to disrupt any shipment of weapons intended to help Russia bomb more cities in Ukraine and kill more Ukrainians. Probably if Putin finally dies (hopefully!)and peace is restored to the region those who supplied him with weapons could be held accountable for thousands of murders in Ukraine.

Can we please give Ukraine the go-ahead to use NATO weapons against any legitimate target in Russia? Ideally at some point when Lil' Kim is visiting Moscow?

Or maybe we should just give Ukraine their nukes back.

There are range limits. Storm Shadow is a 300 mile missile. Even the most advanced ATACMS missile, which we don't give them and don't have quite in production, can get within 50 miles of the Moscow burbs and it still drops short.

The biggest danger and how the Russians batter down a Ukrainian line are precision glide bombs. They're cheap to retrofit onto their existing stocks, can't reliably be defeated with jamming, get tossed from well behind the front line, and the jets can step back from ATACMS and other short range weapons, station themselves 300-400 miles away, and still complete their attacks.

The way to cover that capability gap is called Typhoon MRC. It's a 40 foot shipping container that can fit 4 SM6 extended range anti-aircraft missiles, or 4 tomahawk missiles, with a fast reloading crane system built in. Containers can be prepositioned so you can move from fire position to fire position and ammo is waiting on you. It can be mounted to the deck of ships and networks with a wide variety of targeting sensors. That's the only system that can effectively strike at the Russian airbases. The light aircraft converted into suicide drones sometimes find success but it's just a plane here and there, nothing really decisive.

Typhoon MRC probably won't be sent. The US Army just put it into service last year.

"Russia and North Korea vow stronger partnership against the West with new treaty

Russia and North Korea signed a new treaty that provides mutual defense assistance, formalizing the two countries' heightened level of military and diplomatic cooperation.

In a press conference following the meeting, Putin said the agreement "includes the provision of mutual assistance in case of an aggression against one of the signatories."

When Kim is your only friend, you are in deep, deep doo.

I wouldn't be surprised if Vlad's Oligarchs see this as one last example of how isolated and dictatorial their country has become; they've become North Korea.

They ruin the reputation of countries that support them. They are a terrorist state.

USA is a state sponsor of terrorism.

Based on how much the Russian troops hate Lil' Kim's bargain barrel weapons, it might just cause more of them to surrender or change sides. Russian troops are putting their lives at risk every time they load a Nork shell into one of their artillery pieces. It is no wonder Kim is so eager to get the bomb, their conventional weapons aren't worth the dynamite to blow them up.
