MAGA extraordinaire Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman is preparing to enter the race for NYS governor, which will goof up Congresswoman Elise Stefanik's (R-NY) efforts to secure the Republican Party nomination to challenge Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY), who is running for a second full term next year.

If not for NYC, NYS would be a Red State, with vast counties and congressional districts (CDs) in Long Island and upstate populated by slices of gun-toting white bread. Bruce Blakeman, who last month barely won re-election in Nassau County, bleated that Dummkopf Trumpf has not discouraged him from seeking statewide office. When he wasn't dozing, the Dotard-in-Chief offered no preference Monday when reporters asked about Blakeman and the vapid Elise Stefanik, appearing to signal that he doesn't mind them competing. "He's great and she's great," Trumpf sniveled at the White House. "They're both great people."

NYS Governor Kathy Hochul more overtly welcomed the competition. "If there's a Republican primary, it makes it much more entertaining for me," Hochul said about Blakeman's launch. "Let them go at it. Let's see how they out-MAGA each other."

The rightwing good-for-nothing Islamophobic Bruce Blakeman has committed a vile litany of blasphemies which you can read about here: ZDS Sufferer

Nothing would undermine NYC Mayor-elect Muslim Zohran Mamdani more than a Republican NYS governor, so expect AIPAC and AIPAC Democrats to support either Bruce "Blech!" Blakeman or Elise "No Platform" Stefanik. The unpopular congresswoman was already thrown under the bus twice this year by Dummkopf Trumpf. The zoftig Stefanik might consider taking Ozempic to get on the sexual predator's good side by losing a little bit of her girth.

Anyone can run for office. That is what I think is great about the Country.

I mean, just look at it, Pres Trump ran for office and he won.

OK, that may not be the best substantiation for my argument.

@#1 ... If not for NYC, NYS would be a Red State ...

Not just NYC.

The population density of the blue areas outside NYC in the embedded map above are far less than super-packed NYC.

On Tuesday 5 Nov 2024, 4,619,195 NYS voters selected Kamala Harris; 3,578,899 idiots voted for Dummkopf Trumpf.

That gave Kamala Harris a 1,040,296 margin resulting in a popular vote and Electoral College victory in the Empire State.

On that same fateful Election Day, 1,903,344 Gothamites voted for Kamala Harris.

If we subtract the NYC Democratic bloc (1,903,344) from the overall NYS Democratic bloc (4,619,195), that leaves us with 2,715,851 and a popular vote and Electoral College win (3,578,899) for Dummkopf Trumpf.

Without the Big Apple, NYS is a Red State, as I summarized in my OP.

Bronx High School of Science graduate Zohran Mamdani and NYS Governor Kathy Hochul (D) know these numbers quite well, as do the status quo dinosaurs Elise Stefanik, AIPAC, Bruce Blakeman, Andrew Cuomo, Chuck Schumer, Eric Adams, Michael Bloomberg, Hakeem Jeffries, and the rest of their Islamophobic ilk who are suffocating us progressive, justice-minded New Yorkers who have had enough of the oligarchs.

So, let's help show these self-serving guardians of the sclerotic status quo the door, shall we?

I do not disagree.

(to be honest with you, I posted that comment an embedded map mainly to see if my alias was still on your "ignore" list.) :)

... Without the Big Apple, NYS is a Red State ...

I have offered that view here in my comments in the past.

Thanks for providing the numbers to back it up.

Back to the topic at hand ...

Perhaps that is why Pres Trump seemed to be so, well, soiling of his diapers, when Mayor-elect Mamdani won.

Pres Trump saw the political ramifications of such a win in NYC, and I won't go into detail at this point. Ask if you have a question..

Then there was that meeting between Mayor-elect Mamdani and Pres Trump in the Oval Office.

Pres Trump's admiration of the Mayor-elect during that meeting still is a wonder for me.

I mean that in the sense of, ~WTF happened there?~
