Dem's unbridled pursuit of power can't be brushed off

The Democrats' disquieting quest for power at the cost of our democratic principles cannot credibly be denied or rebutted by inapt whataboutisms. During the 40 years from John Kennedy's inauguration in 1961, four Republicans served a total of 22 years as president and a like number of Democrats served for 18 years. Democrats dominated other elective offices, however, controlling the Senate for 28 years, the House for 34 years, and adjusting for time in office, governorships by 57% to 43%, and state legislatures by 73% to 27%. Then, the pendulum swung. For the last 25 years, Republicans (13 years) and Democrats (12 years) each elected two presidents, and Republicans gained control of the Senate for 13 years, the House for 17 years, governorships, 55% to 45%, and state legislatures, 59% to 41%

The urgent case for fixing California's broken elections

When late arriving ballots in the race for Los Angeles mayor turned dramatically against conservative Spencer Pratt last week, Donald Trump reacted with his usual subtlety. "They're cheating on the election," said the President, as it became clear Pratt would be knocked out of the runoff for the November general election. Democrats were quick to respond. California Attorney General Rob Bonta dismissed claims of vote fraud as "a figment of the imagination of Trump and others involved in that conspiracy theory." Bonta is right there's no direct evidence that fraud swayed the LA mayor's race. But California's notorious tardiness in counting votes has been almost universally ridiculed and has undermined public trust in elections.

How can the American people know what to believe anymore? They're supposed to be able to turn to the New York Times and other legacy newspapers for impartial facts. Although that aspirational view was never as true as many of us supposed it to be, it's become scandalously untrue today. The Times this week played host to one of the most astonishing examples of journalistic malpractice in recent memory. It was perpetrated by Nicholas Kristof " a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist turned progressive columnist and aspiring Democratic politician. Hiding under the cloak of the Times' opinion section, Kristof ran a report alleging shocking and lurid claims of widespread, systemic sexual assault by Israeli prison guards against Palestinians. This would be horrifying if true, except we have little reason to believe it is

Berenson v Biden a huge win for free speech

en I went to bed last Thursday night," Alex Berenson told me, "I was sure we didn't have a deal. The government offered money, but they weren't willing to admit what they had done. And I wasn't going to agree to a settlement without that acknowledgment. But the next morning," he added, "my lawyer texted me with the news that they had agreed to the language. So we made the deal."<p>If you don't know what Berenson is talking about, well, you can hardly be blamed. The mainstream media has studiously ignored Berenson v. Biden, even though it has enormous implications for the First Amendment. That "language" that Berenson insisted upon"and that the government finally agreed to include in the settlement?

Results Gender-referred adolescents showed significantly higher psychiatric morbidity than controls both before (45.7% vs. 15.0%) and 2years after referral (61.7% vs. 14.6%). Those referred after 2010 had greater psychiatric needs than earlier cohorts, both before (47.9% vs. 15.3%) and 2years after (61.3% vs. 14.2%) referral. Among adolescents who underwent medical gender reassignment, psychiatric morbidity increased markedly during follow-up"rising from 9.8% to 60.7% in feminising gender reassignment and from 21.6% to 54.5% in masculinising gender reassignment. After adjusting for prior psychiatric treatment, all gender-referred adolescents had similarly elevated risks of psychiatric morbidity, with hazard ratios approximately three times higher than female controls and five times higher than male controls

For years, the Democratic establishment appeared to have known enough about Eric Swalwell to worry, whisper and warn. But not enough, apparently, to do anything. As people recount it now, allegations about his behavior toward women have long circulated among Hill staff, California Democrats, Alameda County political figures, and reporters " some dating back to 2013, when he was first elected to Congress " yet none of this ever materialized into actual consequences for the now-disgraced former lawmaker

At a closed-door meeting in 2021, ACLU attorney Chase Strangio declared, "If we take away these health care options, kids are going to die." The scrappy litigator uttered this dire proclamation in an address at the biennial conference of USPATH, the US branch of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health, or WPATH. Strangio has played a pivotal role in the transgender movement's general refusal to offer concessions on the chief principles animating its cause. Most central, and controversial, has been the demand that minors identifying as transgender have access to gender-transition treatments, including puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries. Speaking to USPATH, Strangio entreated attendees to infuse legal and political advocacy into their work as doctors and mental-health providers. This battle cry was tempered with a foreboding vision

We just won Missouri v. Biden. As Missouri's Attorney General, I sued the Biden regime for brazenly colluding with Big Tech to silence Missouri families " censoring the truth about COVID, the Hunter Biden laptop, the open border, and the 2020 election. They tried to turn Facebook, X, YouTube, and the rest into their private speech police, labeling dissent "misinformation" while they pushed their narrative on the American people. Today, after years of unrelenting litigation, we deep state into a historic 10-year, court-enforceable Consent Decree. It directly binds the Surgeon General, the CDC, and CISA: no more threats of legal, regulatory, or economic punishment. No more coercion. No more unilateral direction or veto of platform decisions to remove, suppress, deplatform, or algorithmically bury protected speech.
