Pharmaceutical Company Launches ‘Ozempic for Cats”

Okava Pharmaceuticals in San Francisco CA launched MEOW-1, a clinical study that will utilize tiny, under-the skin implants to release a GLP-1 medication drug into 50 cats for a period of six months or so.

Comments

This implant treatment allegedly has the potential to enhance cats' quality of life and promote healthy aging. Roughly six in ten American cats are overweight. The side effects of this drug on our feline friends are not known at this time.
