Tariff Refund Delays Could Cost Taxpayers $700 Million a Month

The federal government is required by law to pay interest rates on overpayments. CATO Institute ran the numbers on how much the Trump Administrations delay in repaying tariffs will cost taxpayers: conservatively $23 million per day.

Good news! We get to pay for Trump's illegal tariffs twice!

Once when businesses raise their prices to offset the tariffs, and another time when Trump refuses to refund, forcing American taxpayers to eventually pay the interest.
