More CT school threats disrupt classes, cause alarm

School threats circulating on social media created chaos in multiple Connecticut districts that had to either cancel classes entirely, delay opening or increase their police presence Thursday, according to administrators and police officials.

It started just hours after the Georgia shooting when Norwich Technical High School was placed in lockdown after bullets were found on a hallway floor. A report of a pipe bomb, posted to social media, then spurred the evacuation of a building that day at Quinnipiac University in Hamden.

Two schools in Windsor and Bloomfield were placed on lockdown the next day as police investigated a concerning comment and a reported weapon, respectively.
