Juan Gabriel Gonzalez (22) and Dereck Nathan Lopez (21) of South Gate, CA, are facing multiple federal counts for robbing casino winners in California. The pair entered local casinos using fake names, hunting gamers who either won or were close to winning large amounts in gaming chips. The pair, along with unnamed co-conspirators, then tracked the winners to their vehicles and ambushed them on nearby highways. They would allegedly brandish firearms, bust windows, and demand the cash or chips before fleeing the scene. These predators targeted at least 15 victims from amongst the scores of Native American-operated casinos in the Golden State. An indictment contains allegations that a defendant has committed a crime. Every defendant is presumed to be innocent until and unless proven guilty in court. If convicted of all charges, each defendant would face a statutory maximum sentence of life in federal prison.
These two young men led a "Hollywood movie" life of excitement, violence, and fast money until the FBI and local police finally caught them. Below, a map of the Native American casinos in California where they targeted their victims.

Those two youngsters better plead guilty to a lesser charge. At 21 and 22 they are staring at life in prison. Wow.
