Mosab Abu Toha was born in a refugee camp in Gaza, the same camp his father was born in and the same refugee camp his grandparents were forced into during the Nakba in 1948. The Nakba, which means the catastrophe, is when the Palestinians were forced off their land to make Israel. It's an interview worth listening too.
Israelis are starting to acknowledge that the hunger in Gaza is real--yet it remains unclear whether the recognition of the crisis marks a real tipping point or merely an occasion for momentary concessions.
