I would phrase this diminution of American influence differently.
Americans voted in a Russian asset to its highest office, twice, and along the way that asset has weakened our Constitutional Republic to the point it just may fall, as the Soviet Union fell, as Russian democracy fell to the gangsters.
Sure, a time of mourning, a time to preserve our pride by speaking out, and voting, knowing all the while that almost none of us get to vote where and when it matters, in the huge corporate boardrooms that first delighted in offshoring American jobs, and now is delighting in turning the American workforce as just an army of robots and software pretend people.
Manly men doing manly things...one does wonder just why adult men don't, sooner or later, repent from their needless killing of fellow creatures on this earth.
