Okay, on second thought, enough time has passed that people can be duped again by a very few people to risk a war that will get a million people killed, for dubious reasons, and tens of thousands of American lives.

I am an old man, the same age as Trump. In the last few years I have learned to appreciate social services and governmental agencies that exist to help the old, the sick, the...you get the idea. Oddly enough, Trump has seen is as his task to ruin those hopes for the poor and the powerless. Weirdly, enough of my peers voted for him. I understand a very rich person looking to have his/her taxes cut, but for an old person on low social security to vote for Trump is to make your own old age frightening.

I am an old man afraid for the future, both of the nation's and mine. I have zero sense that this Executive Branch gives a damn about me or any other low income seniors.

Rich people won't even notice the added cost, poor people will notice, are noticing. It is like charging people to drive into midtown NYCity, rich people love the opportunity to not have to rub shoulders with the poor.

Big money in very few hands cannot be trusted with all the power that that wealth creates. World wide, it almost always leads to some sort of fascism.

One of the reasons I am a supporter of national service, is that perhaps if the Alpha males had to rub shoulders with the rest of us maybe they would learn some humility.

Probably a lot of people are recognizing this as what happened in their family when the stepfather came in and proved to be one hateful character.
Not to categorize all stepfather, I am sure many, perhaps most, greatly add to a family's sense of bonding and safety.
But Trump..imagine him coming in and taking over your family.

As an American who tends to pay attention to my government and its political wars...I think it is only maybe 50-50 that we recover from the Trump grifting gangs takeover of America. Even when Putin kicks the bucket, whenever that might be, there are, I am sure, a lot of Russian Alpha Males in line to play "dangerous daddy".

I agree with those who see it as just another bribe to the gangster in chief...little to nothing gets done unless someone crosses a Trump's palms with silver, or
40 million bucks.

One likes to have a leadership that is predictable, and truth be told, I have absolutely no idea what insanity Trump has in store for us in the coming years...because he is making it up as he goes along. This country is his sandbox, to play in and destroy anything and anyone he chooses.

Considering that Trump is now Commander in Chief of the most powerful military in the history of the world, and he is losing his crap, one thinks he may be the greatest risk to world peace out there, including the mass murderer Putin.
I do wonder at the last election...and those who voted for him, as in, I wonder if electing a fascist to run a democracy actually seemed like a good idea to them.
Still, living in a Blue State, I approve in my representatives, both locally and in Congress, so that is a good thing.

As I remember, a lot of police departments are legally forbidden from having quotas, as that greatly increases the possibility of the police bending the law to make arrests.

If Trump were actually able to force American industry to end their offshore ways, American unions would be very powerful, and for the most part, antiTrump as the Republican Party is very antiunion.
So he will mess with a lot of people, but in the end, what the tariffs will amount to will be grifting tools, look at how Tesla stays in business by the 100% tariff on Chinese eVs. Musk crossed Trump's palm with 250 million dollars.

He just insulted millions of hard working Americans...because he is showing his hand, he wants to turn us into a real life banana republic.

Inevitable that there will be fairly soon, another viral outbreak, a pandemic perhaps of Bird Flu, and with this idiotic policy, a lot of old folks like me ending the morgue as there will be no way to fight the spread if so many people can avoid getting a vaccine shot.
