Democracy can only flourish when good and competent men and women "toss their hat" into the ring and there is a full and vital primary season. I look forward to the next few elections if indeed the Democrats offer their best ideas and people.

If it were me, I would be finagling behind the scenes to have Vance agree to the following plan: Once I, the President, resign, for health reasons, he automatically rises to President, at which point he pardons me, my family, my entire massive gang of grifters and insurrectionist, and then Vance agrees not to run again for President and the Republican Party has a full primary season and somehow find a non-Trump rational person to run for office.
It is what Nixon did though they first had to fire their sitting VP, Agnew, and have the party hack, Gerald Ford, become VP and then President.

If anyone in America earned the right to stand tall and express himself forthrightly, it is someone who served for many years and retired.

Wait until Trump and his gang...for that is what an American military officer becomes when it follows illegal orders, take over Greenland and absolutely wreck NATO.

An administration that pardoned the Honduran President for massive crimes involving importing hundreds of tons of cocaine into America now, with a straight face, saying it is perfectly legal for it to kidnap the leader of a foreign country to stand trial in the US. President of Panama Noriega was taken by the US and was convicted of major crimes...so there is precedent.

The Trump cult, and that is clearly what it is, is like the cult that took over Antelope Oregon, only pretending to care about democracy and the rule of law, at its core it has dangerous and corrupt people out to take from the poor to give to...themselves.
So linking a venue long labeled as a John Kennedy effort with the Trump cult can do nothing good for artists, for what the Kennedy Memorial stood for.
It would make for fine public ceremonies if the Dems take over everything in 2028 and all the Trump cult perversions are torn down, as were the Saddam statues.

Misogyny is so embedded into our American culture, into the many fundamentalist religions like Catholicism, Mormonism, much of the Baptist world, that one can only hope we are heading to a future where gender is as relevant as shoe size...
