Preamble to the Constitution:

There is a reason there is no Republican Party platform, one that is embraced by Trump, for to tell the truth they would have to reveal their own devotion to what Putin wants, and their devotion to elevating Ameriica's oligarch class to the status of gods. And then there is the White Nationalist Christian thing....

The participation of Jordan means that those who had hopes of a Pan Arab Unity facing off against the West, are out of luck. It means there will probably never be a Palestinian State, and that Israeli apartheid will continue until the Palestinians are as American Native Americans are, powerless to regain their lands.

Two wore the rank of E-5 Sergeant, and clearly are wearing a complete uniform. In the movies, if one looks, one can see that either the rank is missing, or some other part of the official uniform is missing, so that no one assumes they are on active duty in any way.

I have little doubt that the first target of an incoming Trump Presidency will be independent media like MSNBC, Huffpost, and this site. Anyone who publishes the truth of the griftiness of Trump and his gang will find themselves in court, and then in jail.

I don't think I want Putin to be my President, or to run my government. To say it is fine for Putin to invade a friendly neighbor to steal land and mass murder its citizens is to say one is a lover of dictators and a hater of democracy.

Fascinating that the Republican Party has decided to put up Trump as their champion, their hero figure who will fight for them. He is in it for Donald Trump and the billionaire class, for those who cheer on global warming, who want to take all of the fossil fuels and make millions out of turning our planet into a hothouse hell. Only way they can win is via the Electoral College, and that idiocy might mean he loses the popular vote by ten million votes but wins via the electoral college before any polls close on the West Coast. Our electoral system is pure Alice in Wonderland.

To defeat global warming would have taken sacrifice by our economy, by our population, so of course we are setting course for a near future of hellish temperatures. We are led by idiots, and here I mean the American people. I am a nobody from nowhere so I can say it, we had a chance to keep our world from the nightmare of what is coming, but those politicians who fought against an increase in the use of fossil fuels are fighting for their political lives.

And those responsible for "planning" for the Second Coming of Trump read this news with great interest, for it is a way to kill American media as well.

I agree with those who say the laws should be changed so that if Congress cannot agree on a budget, and a shutdown looms, then Congressional members lose some of their pay, maybe 10%, until a budget is passed. One of the most important duties they have is to administer the finances of the country.

Would that we oldsters all had a crack team of engineers working to get us working again...goodness knows I have lost my sense of humor somewhere along the way.

Yes, America's Mayor has made huge mistakes in his defense of Trump, but I for one hold out a tiny bit of hope he comes to his senses, the way Pence has, and will stop endorsing Trump and start endorsing democracy again.

And one expects that, if he loses in November 5, 2024, there really will be bloodbaths in various places as his followers decide they want their dictator out of jail. Turbo also would include massive discrimination against those who are not far right white christian nationalists, including atheists like me. His purge in government would last longer than his four years if he wins.

We Humans just do not learn as we age, we kind of turn to fine...vinegar.

Take from the poor and give to the rich, the true motto of the Republican Party.
So that $30 that poor people got to enable them to have the internet...probably gone. Social security, in seven to ten years...in real trouble. But hey, Musk and the big money boys, they will have all the air conditioning and lowered taxed they want.

Well, to be fair, to talk about the state of the Union in honest terms would be to say we are not one country, we are one economy, and the big boys are doing great, but the rest of us at the bottom are destined to suffer and die in terrible heat and poverty. For three men to have more wealth than the bottom half of the economic pyramid says it all, but seeing as how the truth is never to be spoken by Republicans, she blathered as she could.

I predict that if Trump loses in November, pretty much the day after the Republican Party will regain some of its lost ability to do the right thing, and they will finally cooperate with the Democrats to pass a lot of bipartisan bills.
However, if Trump wins, we are headed for banana republic conflict tied to Putinesque media control and herding protestors into football stadiums.

I would say that the huge verdict would finally cure Trump of his habit of insulting a judge, to his face, in his courtroom, prior to judgments being rendered...but Trump.

Today it is Russia, honoring a fallen hero, victim of fascism and its hate of freedom of speech and thought.
Tomorrow, if Trump gets back in, I have no doubt it will be America, mourning the falling of our independent media and rule of law.
And if he loses, well, insurrection city is probably on the docket.

So there was a fine, in not perfect, bipartisan bill to fix a lot of the problems at the border, but Trump ordered it killed. He would rather gin up the hate, to do what Farage did in the Uk, generate enough hate that the people vote to screw themselves over. In the case of the UK, it was getting out of the EU, a really dumb move. In our case, it will be to turn the borders into killing fields.
