And yes, the Democratic Party was woefully tuned out when it came to what the American people wanted in regards to strong borders.

Let's just admit it, we are being led by greedy, con men who will keep on with the pump and dump stock market manipulations until they are driven from office.
And let's admit it, global warming is so far along, many will die in a few years in our own desert southwest...it is just too late to do anything.
Doesn't matter if they find a way to make an attractive cyber truck, it will always be too expensive to make a difference.
Take from the poor and give to the rich...just how the Republican Party operates, has operated, will always operate.

Stupidity meets massive insane greed, all in conspiracy to turn the stock market into a massive pump and dump scheme. And no one is left in government to stop the "in our face" apparent criminality.

Trump is the mean little kid who gets off torching ant hills and hurting neighborhood stray cats...it isn't about rational thinking it is about finally being able to be powerful somewhere, somehow.

We all know that there are those who desperately want a new Cold War, and that includes Russia, China, and Trump .

Bottom line, ask yourself who Trump is working to elevate, to defend, and who he is working to weaken and hurt.
As it is, low income seniors who depend on social security, medicare, medicaid, subsidized housing, affordable medical care, well, that is not a group he is working to help. He hates their security, which he sees as from taxes that really belong to him and the other billionaires.

Well, Trump has been pretty consistent in one way, I have I don't have to wonder if any of his appointments are good for the country...they ain't.
Even if we survive Trump's second term, and he is really not able to run for a third...we will be much, much weaker as a world power, and many of our alliances will be in pieces.

One would hope the award would inspire more members of the Republican Party to protect the country from this current administration. One wouldn't bet the ranch however that that will happen any time soon. I have little doubt that if somehow the Republican Party wins and keeps the House in the midterms, ss and medicare and medicaid and other vital programs will be cut even more.
Hard to believe that a man worth 400 billion dollars can be so cruel.
Trump has never been anything but cruel, at least since he ran for office.

I really do think there is a significant chance we will be in a shooting war by the midterms...it was what got George W. Bush reelected even though a very unpopular President. Hope that is just my stress level talking, or writing.

While I have high regard for our American military...Trump's appointments including his Secretary of Defense makes me more than a little worried if a massive shooting war ever breaks out. I worry Trump and his team can be leveraged..that is, they can be bought off to sacrifice Taiwan . Hope neither a war breaks out nor Trump's appointments have to make major decisions.

I mourn his election and unfortunately the pain of his administrant is a daily torment for a lot of us who actually respect democracy and the rule of law and the two party system. Of course, he enjoys the fact we suffer under the government of Musk and Trump. Not sure Trump is the one pulling most of the strings.

I really and truly am surprised that the Republican Party was able to find so many people willing to subvert our democracy and its power sharing ways.

Taking from the poor and powerless so the rich have it all...it is the mantra of the Trump misadministration, all the way down to disaster relief for those devastated by natural disasters.

Recently talked with a person who was a veteran of the Vietnam War, who was still for Trump. I have no way to understand the mind that thinks that way.

Bring back the draft, have all American young people, male or female, bone spurs or not, serve two years in the military or two and a half years in civilian service. When they ended the draft America split into two parts, the corporate boardrooms that ran things for the profit of the well off, and the rest of us.
I mourn the changes in my country, we, at least those of us at the bottom of the economic pyramid, are being tossed about in a tornado and have no way to get our bearings, since our government really doesn't give a care about us.

Wait until he takes after Medicaid and Social Security and HUD financed housing...not to mention farmer's subsidies, now that should be interesting.

We seem to have entered a time warp and now are in France, pre-revolution, with the royalty, who own everything, laughing at the very poor struggling to survive. As Bernie says, three people own more wealth than half of Americans own.
This is much worse than how I felt during the Nixon years as he both pretended to stop the war, and pursued it massively.

This pain many of us feel, this continuing grief and existential despair, is because we bonded with our democracy, it was and one hopes is, our family, and Bernie gets it.
I wish him well, I wish us well, I wish the little children born recently the joy of waking in a strong and caring democracy.

Old man here, hoping I live until November 2028, to vote in the Presidential elections, if there is an election. By then he and Musk will have taken from the poor and Medicaid and social security will be chopped as well as they can without having an uprising of poor Republican voters.

And I thought my morning was bad...I wish those who are caught in the ending of the funding new options and hope. I live in public housing and figure we low income seniors are next to feel the agony of being tossed.

I mourn what my government has done, and is doing, to the Palestinian people and the idea of a Palestinian state. The Occupied Territories are not America's to take.

Well,, as a Vietnam Veteran, I sure as hell hope we learned our lesson and...
Okay, on second thought, enough time has passed that people can be duped again by a very few people to risk a war that will get a million people killed, for dubious reasons, and tens of thousands of American lives.

I am an old man, the same age as Trump. In the last few years I have learned to appreciate social services and governmental agencies that exist to help the old, the sick, the...you get the idea. Oddly enough, Trump has seen is as his task to ruin those hopes for the poor and the powerless. Weirdly, enough of my peers voted for him. I understand a very rich person looking to have his/her taxes cut, but for an old person on low social security to vote for Trump is to make your own old age frightening.

I am an old man afraid for the future, both of the nation's and mine. I have zero sense that this Executive Branch gives a damn about me or any other low income seniors.
