When 2028 comes around and Trump refuses to have federal elections, he will need to be in full control of the military.

Loyalty to the President is more important than loyalty to the Nation and the People.
That's the lesson of Trumpism so far; authoritarian control over democracy.
And Trumpers love having someone to tell them what to think and say.
