Donald Trump Skips Martin Luther King Day Proclamation

Donald Trump has become the first US president since Martin Luther King Jr. Day was established to not issue a proclamation honoring the federal holiday, breaking a tradition observed for nearly 40 consecutive years.

The Department of the Interior, led by good-for-nothing billionaire Douglas James Burgum, removed two federal holidays honoring People of Color from the list of free admission days to US national parks. Arizona, New Hampshire, Virginia, Utah, and South Carolina were the last states to recognize Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a paid state holiday. Red states Alabama and Mississippi celebrate MLK Day jointly with a holiday honoring slave-owning turncoat Confederate General Robert E. Lee.
