Jerusalem Nun Assault Investigated as Hate Crime

Suspect Wearing Tzitzit Arrested Amid Rising Anti-Christian Attacks in Israel

A video showing a man violently assaulting a French nun in broad daylight near Mount Zion in Jerusalem, Israel, has sparked widespread outrage. While the possibility of a "Christian-hatred" crime is gaining traction, local police have arrested the suspect and are investigating his exact motives.

According to the Times of Israel, TOI, and AP News, among others, the incident occurred on the 28th of last month near the Tomb of King David, a holy site on Mount Zion in Jerusalem.

"The video footage shows the man stealthily approaching the nun from behind as she walked, suddenly pushing her to the ground.

After briefly leaving, he returned to kick the fallen nun, who was groaning in pain. When a passerby attempted to intervene, the man engaged in a brief physical altercation before fleeing.

The suspect in the video was wearing tzitzit, a ritual undergarment with tassels worn by some observant Jewish men.

Israeli police arrested the suspect, identified as a 36-year-old man, the day of the incident.

Though his name and nationality remain undisclosed, authorities stated he was detained on suspicion of a racially motivated attack. Police emphasized their commitment to protecting all communities in the city sacred to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, adding that they would seek an extension of his detention."

Not surprising that an Israeli who would commit genocide in Gaza, would also attack a nun in broad daylight in the streets near a Temple.
