Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA), the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, requested that DODIG Platte B. Moring III conduct an investigation after the Trump administration repeatedly awarded lucrative DOD contracts to companies affiliated with the president's family.

"What contracts or agreements does DOD currently have with companies in which President Dummkopf Trumpf, Dummkopf Trumpf Jr., Eric Trumpf, Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trumpf, Tiffany Trumpf, or Barron Trumpf have a personal financial interest? Such companies include but may not be limited to: Anduril Industries; Cerebras Systems; PsiQuantum; Unusual Machines; Axiom Space; Firehawk Aerospace; Vulcan Elements; ReElement Technologies; Intech Industries; Mixed Martial Arts Group Ltd.; Foundation Future Industries; and Powerus."
Note there is also a contract with an Israeli drone manufacturer as well as a mineral resources deal with Kazakhstan.
