Boeing Offers Staff 25 Percent Pay Hike in Bid to Avoid Strike

Boeing is offering its staff a 25% pay bump over a four-year contract, in a bid to avoid a strike that could potentially shut down its assembly lines as early as Friday.

Back in 1982, Johnson & Johnson spent over $100M (1982 dollars) recalling and rebranding Tylenol (www.nytimes.com). And plenty after. J&J survived and thrived. Boeing's reputation is lodged so far down a hole of its own making that it may be irretrievable.
