Per the Ukrainian MoD: Russian losses as of 8 May 2025: 963,270 personnel, plus 1,300 troops in the last 24 hours; 372 aircraft; 335 helicopters; 10,790 tanks.

At this rate of loss, Russia could reach the horrendous one million casualty mark in late 2025 or early 2026. Dotard Trumpf remarked at a 11 Feb 2025 press conference: "[Russia] lost millions of people. They've lost, in terms of soldiers, probably 1.5 million soldiers in a short period of time."

Update: North Korean supremo Kim Jong-un was not reported to have attended the May Day celebration in Moscow and Dotard Trumpf gets his big parade next month.

Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania threw in some logistical complications for international parade-goers, shutting their airspaces to diplomatic planes traveling to Moscow and forcing several of the pro-Kremlin leaders to reroute their journeys to Moscow.

The call between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday went "very well", said a senior Ukrainian official. The conversation lasted about 20 minutes and focused on diplomacy and the genuine ceasefire that the US and Ukraine are trying to establish, while the presidents also discussed the Ukraine-US minerals deal, ratified on Thursday by the Ukrainian parliament.
