Community Complains of Musk's AI Facility that Trains Grok

That comes with monstrous energy demands, and the way xAI is meeting them has angered environmental groups and the residents of Boxtown, a predominantly Black neighborhood just three miles south of the facility, Politico reports.

'How come I can't breathe?' Elon Musk's AI company chose Memphis for a huge new data center, powered by 35 gas turbines that enviros call a major producer of smog-forming pollution.

It has no federal air permits.

"xAI has essentially built a power plant in South Memphis with no oversight, no permitting, and no regard for families living in nearby communities,"

Regulations? Permits? Oversight? Regard for the community??

Bah!!!

That's all liberal nonsense.

We don't need no stinkin regulations about our stinkin!!! What about my freedom to stink?

Welcome to Trumplandia. Where corporations finally don't have to give a ---- about you and your poor poor "community".

Felon Musk first made a fortune selling EVs in California to the progressive, environmentally-conscience citizens of the wealthy Golden State, a top-ten economy in the world by itself. The world's worst person then moved his business to Texas, claiming that some law on transgender rights offended him (Musk was having issues with one of his children who transitioned). The reality is that the Biden administration had delivered billions of dollars in infrastructure aid to the Lone Star State, which he wanted to take advantage of. This arch-grifter then chose Memphis, TN for his energy-absorbing super AI computer Colossus to take advantage of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) power system. This goniff knows exactly how to play the American system. Musk left Canada because he couldn't have made his fortune there as their federal and provincial regulatory authorities would have been on to him. Moreover, the Canadian electorate is not as gullible as the American sheeple. Note that Canadian-born US Senator Ted Cruz is an analog of Felon Musk. Cruz's rightwing political stances make him unelectable in Canada, but a perfect Republican in the US, like Felon Musk.
