A judge in Virginia ordered the release of Georgetown University scholar Badar Khan Suri, marking at least the third time a detained student or academic targeted by the Trump administration because of their protest activity or affiliation was released from immigration detention. cnn.it/4dlC30o

The law also established a procedure for expedited removal, by which an INS officer, rather than an immigration judge, may order the removal of an individual. This expedited procedure applied to individuals at a port of entry and those unable to prove that they had been residing in the country continuously for two years. Individuals intending to apply for asylum were exempted from this provision.

And you think that maga maroons don't already know about and are using this law whenever they can? They'd go back to the 1700s if they could find a law from that era to harass immigrants with.

Regardless.. It is still due process and does not eliminate habeas corpus.
