When Was America Great

???

Comments

There's a great play called Steambath in which one of the characters keeps talking about "My generation," "My generation" -- which ended up being a point in his mind maybe in the late 1940s when everything seemed to come together for him culturally and personally.

America seems like it was pretty cool for tens of thousands of years before the Europeans got here.

Steambath - I saw that on PBS about 50+ years ago. First time I encountered half-frontal nudity, and I LIKED IT.

As I recall, God is Puerto Rican and the Steambath was purgatory.

LYD: Same with me. Twelve or thirteen years old and Valerie Perrine.

Right you are. Great cast, great play. I thought they should have recast it with a Muslim in the early 2000s.
