Confederate Memorial to Return to Arlington National Cemetery

A memorial commemorating Confederate soldiers will be reinstated to Arlington National Cemetery after it was removed as part of an effort to eliminate references to the Confederacy from military bases and assets.

The sculpture honoring Confederate fighters and the separatist movement was removed from the miltiary cemetery in 2023, but will be restored soon.

lol a "patriot" who can't see why memorializing traitors isn't a rational thing to do.

What's next? A memorial for every Nazi killed in WWII? I honestly wouldn't be surprised if our first Fascist President wanted to honor all Fscists who came before him! New Redneck greeting.....Zeig Heil Y'all!

From 1861-65, the traitorous Confederate military killed more Union servicemembers than the indigenous resistance warriors (1865-1898), the Spanish army (1898), the Kaiser's army (1917-18), the North Korean/CHICOM armies (1950-53), and the Vietnamese army and Viet Cong guerillas (1965-1975) combined.

US Military Combat Deaths:

Indigenous Pacification Wars (919)
Spanish-American War (385)
WWI (53,402)
Korean Conflict (33,686)
Vietnam War (47,434)

Sub-total: 135,826 KIA

US Civil War: 140,414 KIA

This is who the Trumpf junta is honoring.

Somebody inform DOGE of this waste and abuse of taxpayer dollars

Iy does seem likely that a traitor like Trump would want to honor the traitors from that earlier time.

Of course, just part of the Trump regime's pattern of rewarding its voters, and here that means those who were big fans of slavery and the domination of women, and attacking those who didn't vote for Trump fascist candidates.

If the opportunity ever presents itself again, those monuments should be destroyed.

Just a reminder, Fort Bragg is named after Confederate General Braxton Bragg. Bragg lost pretty much every battle he generaled. He was universally hated by his troops and subordinates. the only person who like him was Jefferson Davis.

this is who magat scum celebrate

But not officially!

Officially we are now celebrating a Pfc. Roland L. Bragg, a World War II veteran who served with "distinction".
