Ukraine Hits Bridge Linking Crimea to Russia

Ukraine has detonated a massive underwater blast targeting the key road and rail bridge connecting the Russian-occupied Crimean peninsula to Russia, damaging its underwater supports.

Russian military bloggers say the attack has been unsuccessful, with the key bridge functioning after a brief closure.

"The latest strike on the 12-mile-long Kerch bridge " a prestige project of the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, which he opened in 2018 " comes amid what appear to be determined efforts by Ukraine to change the narrative promoted by the Trump administration that Kyiv holds few cards in the war.

The mining of the bridge, which is heavily defended by Russian forces, follows the audacious long-range drone attack on airbases deep inside Russia, which Zelenskyy claimed had damaged "34% of [Russia's] strategic cruise missile carriers"."

;;
Russia, when not hitting civilians with missiles, has been putting together a 50k troop attack force set to invade (some more).

This is Zelanskyy telling Vlad what to expect inside Russia when he does.

Ukrainian intelligence services are top-notch. They amalgamated their previous experiences with the Soviet KGB with Western know-how. A few weeks ago Zelensky flew to Istanbul in good faith to negotiate with Putin, but Vlad the Impaler blew him off. So, Zelensky authorized the execution of Operation Spiderweb and this sabotage attack on the bridge. Ukraine will have more surprises in store for the Kremlin.

And you wonder what the Russian pundits on TV are saying about these devastating blows to Russia. They continue to mock Trumpf and Republicans. Maxim Yusin says: "The majority of people who vote for Trumpf are not very smart primitive people with whom you need to talk like this, with cliches and dumb slogans."

The remark triggers laughter from other members of the panel, one of whom goes on to describe Trumpf supporters as "rednecks" and compares them to villagers who cry out for money.

Surprising to no one but a Trumper, Vlad's new demands at this most recent 'negotiation' are the same ones he made when he invaded Ukraine:

Putin is kind of a big fat -----.

What started out as a 'wink and a nod' reciprocity agreement between Putin and Trump to help Trump get elected and thus become a partner to grease the skids for Putin to conquer Ukraine enroute to an invasion of Eastern Europe has run smack-dab into Trump's insatiable ego which has made it nigh impossible for either side to give an inch.

Meanwhile, daylight is burning.

Anybody care to guess who is going to be the first to start the blame-game?

No civilian casualties.

So far, only military targets inside of Russia. FDT's boss can't make that claim.
