Trump urges battle vs cities. Hegseth decries DEI.

President Trump and defense chief Hegseth delivered pair of incendiary speeches to a crowd of hundreds of generals and admirals. Decrying "the insane fallacy that diversity is our strength", Hegseth said he had chosen to fire previous generals because they had been personally invested in progressive ideas about diversity. Trump followed with a meandering stump speech that echoed past jibes at his predecessor and self promotion. New was a virtual declaration of war on his targeted cities.
