More from the article ...

... But after two hours that touched on how the next mayor would deal with President Donald Trump, quality of life issues and affordability, it was unclear whether anyone did enough to move the needle. ...

So, at this point, the debate looks like a "meh."

imo, that may be better for Mr Mamdani than his opponents.

Mr Mamdani is the newcomer, and that it seems his long-term political opponents can only equate with him in a debate, well, that shows a weakness of his opponents.

imo, of course.

There's another debate later in October.

So the candidates will be able to lick their wounds and try a new approach at that approach.

Hi Lamplighter: We landed our planes at the same time: drudge.com

On the sheer fact that Dummkopf Trumpf supports Andrew Cuomo is enough to make every New Yorker support Zohran Mamdani, but inexplicably this is not the case. Nevertheless, polls show the amiable Zohran Mamdani holding a commanding double-digit lead over the Benedict Arnold of the Democratic Party.

Foy you in Connecticut, the incessant political ads will be over in a few more weeks, so hang in there. As for me, I don't watch TV so I don't suffer the headaches.

@#3

Yeah, it seems that candidate Mamdani did not screw up is a major benefit for him.

Yeah, I am in the NYC media area, so I am subject to NYC media (nd political ads).

I am grateful that my DVR has a "fast-forward" ability.

Zohran won't screw up, watch. He's not a phony that has to rehearse his lines for different interest groups. The Canadians had a politician named Jagmeet Singh (NDP) who spoke from the heart each time, so his message was the same wherever he went. Jagmeet had no "ums" or "ers" and too bad he didn't go far in Canadian politics. Perhaps his Sikh background hurt him, I don't know. The few Canadians on drudge.com would have better insight than me.

The next debate will be interesting, as the candidates each now know what and who they are up against on the stage.

Then there's this ...

Fox News Poll: Mamdani maintains significant lead in NYC mayoral race (October 16, 2025)

... Voters see Mamdani, Cuomo as strong leaders but more say Mamdani will bring needed change ...

We'll know for sure in a month or so ...
