On 25 Dec 2025, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) intercepted 19 asylum seekers of Haitian origin near Havelock, in Quebec's Monteregie region, during dangerously cold temperatures after receiving an alert from the US Border Patrol.
The group of Haitian asylum seekers fleeing the diabolical Trumpf regime ranged in ages from one to 60. They were located following a search conducted in frigid cold winter conditions of temperatures below minus 15 degrees Celsius. Eight individuals were transported to a hospital, including six treated for frostbite. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were life-threatening.
A man was also arrested under the Canadian Customs Act in connection with a suspected smuggling operation. All 19 individuals have requested asylum and were transferred to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) for processing.
