Inflation ticked up to 2.8% November, moving further away from the Federal Reserve's target 2% mark, the Bureau of Economic Analysis reports Thursday.
Central banks weren't insulated from politics for fun. Countries that politicize monetary policy tend to get a short-term boom timed for ballots, followed by higher inflation and a lingering "can we trust you?" premium.
