Five people are dead in Key Peninsula, Washington following a stabbing spree at a home Tuesday morning involving the suspect who county deputies were about to serve with an Order of Protection.

"The Pierce County Sheriff's Office deputies confirmed that the order of protection wasn't valid yet because authorities hadn't served it to the man. As deputies were on the way to serve the order, witnesses reported at 0900 HRS that a man was stabbing people outside of the home. A single deputy arrived and shots were reported at 0933 HRS. The melee resulted in five deaths, including the 32-year-old male suspect. The suspect had been shot by a deputy and that his relationship to the victims is unknown."
