"On behalf of a grateful Congress, this plaque honors the extraordinary individuals who bravely protected and defended this symbol of democracy on January 6, 2021. Their heroism will never be forgotten," the plaque reads.
The Jan. 6 plaque honoring police was just installed in the Capitol -- at 4 a.m.: Three years since Congress ignored its own deadline, the memorial plaque recognizing the service of law enforcement on Jan. 6 is finally on display in the very building they defended from a mob of Trump supporters.
