History is absolutely our best way to understand the present; NUMBER 24 has relevance for us today; worth watching! if, for no other reason than to learn about unsung heroes from an earlier time, and think about how they would react to everything we see happening today.

Yes, 16 episodes, although I think only 8 are available to the public so far.

I never understood what all the hoopla was about "magical realism" was until I saw this. There are so many fake, pale in imitations of it that don't even compare (e.g. Like Water for Chocolate)
