Supreme Court: Noncitizens Must Challenge Removal in Texas

The Supreme Court on Monday lifted a pair of orders by a federal judge in Washington, D.C., that had barred the government from removing noncitizens who are designated as members of a Venezuelan gang under a March 15 executive order issued by President Donald Trump.

In short, they get due process i.e. notice and opportunity to be heard.

Looks like Gulag is back on the menu, boys!

"Kavanaugh wrote a brief concurring opinion in which he emphasized that "the Court's disagreement is not over whether the detainees receive judicial review of their transfers"all nine Members of the Court agree that judicial review is available. The only question," he concluded "is where that judicial review should occur.""

To the Trump Administration, the proper venue is historically known as the Star Chamber. en.m.wikipedia.org

@#1 ... they get due process ...

Yup.

That is what I've been hoping for.

I don't know how many times I've written "due process" these past couple of weeks.

I don't have a problem with the deportation of those in the Country illegally.

I do have a major problem with Pres trump's round 'em up and ship 'em out approach that by-passes due process for those being deported.

imo, this SCOTUS ruling was a loss for Pres Trump.
