Trump Compares Strikes on Iran to Hiroshima Bombing

On Wednesday, at a Nato summit in The Hague on Wednesday, Trump dismissed the intelligence report and compared the US strikes on Iran to the second world war bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

"However, according to a report by the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), Iran's nuclear facilities that had been struck by the United States, such as Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan, had been damaged, but not destroyed, and could be restored.

On Wednesday, at a Nato summit in The Hague on Wednesday, Trump dismissed the intelligence report and compared the US strikes on Iran to the second world war bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

"I don't want to use an example of Hiroshima, I don't want to use an example of Nagasaki, but that was essentially the same thing that ended a war," Trump said at the summit.

"This ended [the Israel-Iran] war. If we didn't take [out the nuclear facilities], they would be fighting right now," he added."

There's what Drudge Report wants to have happened based off just the "worst case" of a preliminary DIA report, and what Trump wants to have happened based off the insanity in his head.

In between that, in the OSINT world that cares about what really happened: The facilities are destroyed. Their mountains aren't igneous rock they're sedimentary. Extensive blast debris out the entrance and extensive subsidence from 30,000 pound thermobaric penetrator bombs. Whatever Iran could not remove has been destroyed, and you can't fit that that many centrifuges on so few trucks. The ability to make more is destroyed. The hunt for a 4th facility that may or may not exist continues.

Which is almost the entire point.

If Trump had simply said: "Preliminary results look good, but we won't really have anything to say until the final assessment is completed", then he would have been OK.

But Donald Trump is a genuinely crazy man. This attack REALLY excited his personal delusions. Delusions that are real, elaborate, and dangerous.
