A brain-dead woman is being kept alive by a Georgia hospital because she was 9 weeks pregnant when she suffered fatal blood clots. The woman's parents, who say the hospital officials have told them they have no say in their daughter's medical care due to the state's abortion law, told NBC affiliate WXIA-TV that doctors are concerned the baby has fluid on his brain and may be born with health issues or may not survive.

Adriana Smith is brain dead and her family is being forced to watch her body be kept alive for months - not for her, but to serve Georgia's cruel abortion ban. Adriana deserves dignity and her family deserves compassion, not state-mandated torment.
