Georgian national Michail Chkhikvishvili (21) AKA "Commander Butcher" was extradited to the US from Moldova. Chkhikvishvili was arrested in Chisinau in connection with planning a mass casualty attack in NYC. Chkhikvishvili is a leader of the Maniac Murder Cult AKA "Maniacs Murder Cult." This defendant allegedly planned to poison Jewish children and carry out mass murder in NYC. Chkhikvishvili also incited bombings, arson, and violence against racial and religious minorities, promoting hateful Neo-Nazi ideology via the internet. Chkhikvishvili wanted his attack to be a "bigger action than Breivik," referring to Anders Behring Breivik, a Norwegian Neo-Nazi who killed 77 people in a mass casualty attack in Norway in 2011. The defendant suggested that he may have already committed a murder prior to this attack plan which authorities will investigate. This is a thoroughly dangerous and despicable young individual. On a professional note, I appeared before the Honorable Carol Amon several times decades ago and can't believe she is still on the bench; good for her.
