Comic Book Writer Peter David Dies

Years ago, I had the opportunity to interview a man who was one of my greatest inspirations as a writer ...

More

Peter David, self-described "writer of stuff", was once a guest on "The Dark Side" back in the day. He was one of my favourite writers, and, as I found in the days leading up to that interview, and in the years since, one of the nicest and friendliest people I've ever encountered.

I was informed that he passed away last night.

His health had been declining for a while and, even though he had written hundreds of comics, novels, television episodes, and even a couple of movies, friends had to set up a number of GoFundMe campaigns to help pay for his care.

I know this is likely to dissolve into the usual trash talking, if anyone even posts here, but Peter David was an inbreeding talented man and deserves to be remembered for that.

Comments

Dammit! Not inbreeding. Typical of my phone...

Wow I primarily know this guy's name from an Ookla The Mok song, let me see if I can find it.
