In the US the hoohaw isn't really about immigrants as such, although for dyed-in-the-wool xenophobes it would be. It's mostly about immigrants with a significant racialist component add-on. I see the masked ICE thugs slamming Latinos around; I don't see them rounding up illegal immigrant Irish in NYC and Boston. Although the hope is probably forlorn, isn't it about time these hysterical MAGAts got a grip on something other than someone else's throat?
