The Trump administration is redirecting nearly $500 million in federal funding toward historically Black colleges and tribal colleges, a one-time investment covered primarily by cuts to other colleges serving large numbers of minority students.

They need to spend that money as fast as possible before it is withdrawn. There is an implied expectation with any "gift" and when that expectation is not fulfilled, the money will be taken away.

Don't use it for any long, multi year projects. Buy some lab equipment, pre pay recurring charges, pay down debt, etc. Just spend the money in a hurry!!!
