A provision of the government funding bill that passed the Senate on Wednesday could give Republican senators a big payday over the government allegedly spying on them.

Did you know that the government funding bill has a provision that forces the DOJ to give millions in taxpayer money to at least 8 Republican Senators investigated after the Jan 6 insurrection? Not exaggerating. And when I proposed an amendment last night to stop it, House Republicans voted it down.

The GOP has no problem paying millions and BILLIONS of dollars that benefit themselves, but helping american families with health insurance we can't afford.

I noticed Josh Hawley, who is one of the 8 senators would stand to benefit, called the provision a "bad idea" but he has avoided answering whether or not he plans on seeking compensation or if he knew the bad idea was included in the bill when he voted to approve it.
