Using the Zohran Mamdani NYC mayoral win as a pretext to expand the police state in his jurisdiction, Nassau County Executive MAGA Bruce Blakeman is directing authorities to needlessly install hi-tech cameras and surveillance systems along the border with NYC.
"We are doing everything necessary to make sure that Nassau County is safe," Bruce Blakeman bleated. "We are installing technology along the border of New York City that will read license plates, that will have facial recognition, that will have video cameras."
NCPD employs about 2,400 police officers and this is a horrible excuse to expand their police powers while raising revenue from tickets and eroding privacy safeguards. NY State Police also patrol parts of Nassau County, so they will have access to the information gathered by the new surveillance system.
One wonders which Israeli hi-tech security firm or Republican insider was awarded the contract.

In June 2025, Dummkopf Trumpf endorsed this troglodyte for re-election in a move meant to clear the field for bland, unpopular House Republican Elise Stefanik (R-NY) to run for NYS governor.
