Congress Looks to Reclaim Relevance After Ceding Power to WH

Frustrated lawmakers are looking to 2026 in the hopes that they can reclaim some of the power many fear they've ceded to the White House under President Trump.

If they are actually thinking along those lines and are aware of the quality of pols around them, they must be as delusional and dim as the low-wattage voters who put them there.

So long as there is an election next November, Congress will start to retrieve its power, with Dems in charge. GOPers will be quietly thankful that someone in DC finally showed up with spines stiffer than over-cooked pasta. Meanwhile, Little Mike Johnson will still think he is (1) Speaker of the House, (2) relevant, and (3) notable for his good works on behalf of American voters...
